Hi there! I’m Eric.

I moved to Boise in 2007 from Bend, Oregon. I never thought I would be a plumber, but I’m so glad I’ve chosen to be one (or did it choose me?). I had done mostly construction and nonprofit jobs for work, but never considered plumbing because I never liked what I saw. It wasn’t until I figured out I could do plumbing differently that I discovered it could be done with care, creativity, and a passion to help create a peaceful space in sometimes stressful situations. Service plumbing is something that really can be a thoughtful job when it’s done with care (and some fun too). After working with another company in the valley for six years, I became a journeyman and later a journeyman contractor plumber. For now, Rooted Plumbing is just me.

Other than plumbing - I am a husband to my beautiful wife and a father to our two girls. We are ‘Rooted’ in Boise, and have grown to love the Treasure Valley and Idaho! We love traveling, mountain biking, hiking, camping, and also love being cozy in our old 1950’s home. We have recently been going to as many National Parks as time allows. We have had an abundance of different pets in our past, but have now landed on one, Olive, our rescue terrier pup (you have probably seen an animated version of her on my website home page).
